Shipping & Returns

UPS/FedEx Ground - Most smaller items such as dock hardware, vinyl bumper and even winches can ship via Ground with reasonable shipping costs. Small floats such as 24x48x16 and smaller sizes can ship UPS. However, even the smallest of Ground shippable floats such as 24x36x08 is $40+. Larger Ground shippable floats average around $80 UPS shipping. If it exceeds 24x48x16, even an order of one float such as 24x48x18 and larger will have to ship by freight. 

Freight - Freight shipping is much more expensive! In many cases buying just one or two floats that have to ship by freight isn’t very economical. When it doubt, just send us an email with the size and quantity, along with the city, state and zip code and let us know whether it’s a residential or commercial delivery.  We’ll get back to you with a shipping cost, typically the same day, unless it's a weekend.

Residential vs. Commercial (Freight) delivery – Orders that ship by freight will be minimum of $150 for a commercial delivery OR $200+ for residential freight deliveries. We strive to keep our costs more than competitive so as to ease the burden of the shipping charges.

Residential freight deliveries are generally $50 more than a business/commercial delivery.  If the delivery address is NOT a commercially zoned area, it will most likely be a residential delivery. Some exceptions may apply, such as farms with forklift to offload. This does not apply to Ground shippable items. 

Many areas of the U.S. incur much higher freight charges than other areas.  Northeastern states (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NJ) are notoriously high with shipping cost often as much as the cost of the product. West coast states (CA,OR,WA) are also excessive. Again, before you spend the time to create an order just shoot us an email as stated above and we’ll check it for you. Sorry, we do not ship out of the U.S.

Additional freight charges may apply for: Military bases, schools, prisons, churches, wildlife areas, etc.  

Discount Dock Supply Return Policy 

• No product shall be returned without prior authorization.

• A photo of the products showing their condition will be included in the request for return.

• Any product returned must be in their original condition, including strapped on pallets, in boxes, plastic, whichever is applicable.

• Shipping cost, whether Ground or Freight is the sole responsibility of the customer.

• A 15% restocking fee may be deducted from the purchase price. 

• It is at our discretion whether to issue credit if products are found to be in poor condition upon receipt.
